EU Settlement Scheme
The EU settlement scheme project will assist EU citizens and their family members in the UK who need to apply to secure their rights through a digital EU settlement Scheme system.
The application form is accessible through phones, tablets and computers and support can be provided for those who need this.
A national telephone advice line is provided Monday and Friday 9am -1pm and Wednesday 1-5pm to provide advice on the scheme. The project will also provide assistance to CAB staff and volunteers throughout Scotland to assist clients with the scheme.
The EU Settlement Scheme project provides support to people with complex needs for example: those who have difficulty accessing an android phone, have limited access to the internet, find it difficult to get evidence needed to apply to the scheme, be at greater risk due to personal circumstances and have specific immigration and residency issues.
Second tier legal support is also provided by a solicitor-led service at the Lanarkshire Community Law Centre for clients with more complex applications such as a criminal conviction.
